About Us
Alexandra and Rex met at a karaoke singles event in downtown Georgetown in November of 2022. After a brief conversation (which included Rex telling a story of a good back hug) and Rex buying Alexandra a drink, they went their separate ways. At the end of the night, Alexandra awkwardly flirted by telling Rex to turn around and giving him a back hug to say goodbye. Surprisingly, Rex reached out to Alexandra on Facebook after the event and they began to get to know each other.
Their first date began as a last-minute offer for Rex to help Alexandra in moving her friend and ended with a cold night walking around downtown Round Rock looking at Christmas Lights. We would like to say the rest is history but our story wouldn’t be complete without mentioning that Alexandra friend-zoned Rex after a few dates.
Over a month or so, Rex fought tooth and nail to get out of the friend zone. He and Alexandra met almost daily to work and study, respectively. Rex continually showed Alexandra what an amazing man he was and won her over, eventually making it official on Valentine's Day.
Two days and seven months later, Rex proposed to Alexandra on September 16th at the Butchart Gardens on Victoria Island in Canada.
